A Return to Blogging

Wow, I didn’t mean to take that month long break from blogging!  I feel like so much has happened: crazy-time at work, my birthday, dinner dates in dc, delicious cocktails at the Columbia Room and then a quick trip to Houston, Tx for S’s wedding.

Yep, it has been a busy few weeks. This outfit is from the end of July, right after my birthday.  I scored this amazing Eloquii shirt during one of their $13 Fridays, and used a 2 for 1 code to get the navy version as well, all for just $13! It is totally one of my new favorite things!  (And of course the front is all rolled up in every photo we took, just my luck.)

Speaking of my new favorite things, how about these Prada Baroque sunglasses? I’ve been coveting them since I first saw them last year. In fact, I almost wrote a blog post about them titled “Prada ‘Baroque’ Sunglasses: Why I’m in Love, aka My Favorite Volutes in Italy.”  But then I realized it was a bit too art-historically geeky to actually post.  But seriously, how can you not appreciate the architectural detail of these babies? Its like wearing the facade of Il Gesù on your face!  I’m insanely in love with them!  I cannot help but smile whenever I wear them, like instant smile-juice, you know, if that were a thing.

Hopefully this is the beginning of my return to blogging.  Maybe I’ll even remember to take pictures not in the direct sunlight next time. What have you all been up to?
